Intuition and the Net of Heaven and Hell Configuration
Net of Heaven and Hell, intuition, grave branches - Why Some BaZi Configurations Feel So Accurate and Others Feel Symbolic

In BaZi, there’s a configuration called “Net of Heaven and Hell”, basically when a chart contains both Chen 辰 and Xu 戌. These are opposite hours of the day (Chen is 7 to 9 AM, Xu is 7 to 9 PM), and when they appear together, whether in the natal chart or in a luck cycle, it’s said to be a pretty accurate indicator of heightened intuition.
Some practitioners even say that if a person with this configuration lacks fire and needs fire, they can be more sensitive to spirits or even “see ghost.” Now, unless the person is born on a Fai Kong day, because Fai Kong people have such a strong willpower and inner determination that supposedly even spirits keep their distance. I don’t know how literally any of this should be taken, but the symbolism is interesting. And honestly, I do know someone with this configuration who is extremely intuitive, but whether he actually sees anything, no idea. Of course, that’s just one example and there are people without this configuration who are also intuitive.
On a related note, if your day branch or one of your branches is one of the “grave branches” 辰 戌 丑 未 they say that’s the Star of the Arts. It’s also considered a “lonely star,” meaning you can be artistic, deep, and have your own way of thinking. People with these grave branches tend to hold a lot inside, so they can be more layered or multifaceted. Naturally, not everyone will understand someone like that since some people just think differently.
